Missing Michael McGinley could be taking shelter in a shed or outbuilding, says his sister

POLICE are continuing their searches today for missing Michael McGinley.

The PSNI and his family are growing concerned for Michael’s safety at this time.

Michael, who is from the Gobnascale area, has not been in contact with this family since Sunday.

There have been a number of reported sightings of him in the Clooney and Glendermott Road areas of the city.

But despite checks, police have been unable to trace Michael.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Thank you again for all your likes and shares.

“We are still conducting enquiries in order to locate Michael.

“Please contact police with all sightings.

“We have followed up with searches and CCTV enquiries with all of the sighting you have reported so far but unfortunately have not yet located Michael.

“Your continued shares and support help us develop further lines of enquiry.”

MIchael’s sister has urged the public to search any outbuildings they may have in case he has taken shelter from the elements.

Danielle McGinley posted on Facebook: “Could everyone please have a look in any outhouses or sheds or alleyways for my brother.

“He’s very unsocial and isn’t the type of person to leave the house.

“He hasn’t been well since the death of my daddy and mammy so him not being here in his own home isn’t right.”

If you see Michael or know where he is staying, ring the police on the 101 number immediately so he can be reunited with his family.
