VANDALS DAMAGE DERRY’S ETERNAL FLAME IN PEACE GARDEN

DERRY City and Strabane District Council say that the Eternal Flame in the Peace Garden on Foyle St is currently out of service as a result of vandalism.

A spokesperson said: “Council would appeal to the public to show respect for the monument which was erected as a symbol of peace and reconciliation.

“Please report any information they have to the PSNI.”
