POLICE are warning the public in Derry to be on their guard from crooks calling at homes.
A PSNI Foyle spokesperson said: “We are getting a number of reports of suspicious cold callers.
“Inspect identification cards, legit business people won’t mind.
“Think have you asked for or need work done.
“If you aren’t sure don’t let them in your house.
“If you have elderly or vulnerable relatives have a chat to them to make them aware
“Remember legit businesses won’t mind you asking questions and confirming details. #KeepYourselfSafe”
Report any suspicious activity to police on the 101 number.
