Tips to beat the burglars this Christmas

THE PSNI in Derry have issued a warning to the public not leave Christmas presents in car as easy pickings for thieves.

In a posting on its Facebook page, PSNI Foyle say: “It’s that time of year that Christmas presents are being bought for friends and loved ones.

“Unfortunately some feel that taking your hard earned possessions is the thing to do.

“Try not to leave vehicles unlocked or valuable items in them, bring them into the house.

“Keep your car keys away from the door so they can’t be easily swiped.

“Have them in a secure place but easy for you to get to in case you need to get out in an emergency.

“Make sure those presents not being delivered by the big guy in the red suit stay where they should.”
