HOW SPENDING A PENNY IN THE STREET COST SOME A £45 FIXED PENALTY FINE

POLICE in the North West its call management centre took a large number of calls last night about people urinating in the street.

A spokesperson said: “Some have also had a starring role on CCTV.

“They didn’t get paid for their performance but the ones who got caught and who accepted their ticket are going to have to pay a fixed penalty of £45 which includes a £5 offender levy.

“If the fixed penalty is accepted and not paid within 28 days the penalty is increased.

“If the fixed penalty is not accepted or the increased fixed penalty is not paid then another starring role in front of a Magistrate awaits.

“It’s really not worth it.

There are plenty of other appropriate places to spend a penny, save a fortune and not offend anyone,” added the spokesperson.
