POLICE PROBE AFTER STOLEN VW CAR FOUND BURNED OUT IN DERRY

POLICE are appealing for information in connection with a vehicle which was found burnt out in the Galliagh area of Derry.

It discovered ablaze in the Slievemore Park area earlier today, Friday, November 8..

Constable Cameron said “Police received reports a vehicle was on fire shortly before 7:45 am.

“The vehicle was a Silver Volkswagen Passat which it is believed had been stolen from the Thornhill Park area between 10:00 pm of yesterday (Thursday, 7 December) and 7:00 am of today (Friday, 8 December).

“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 246 of 8/12/2017.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
