DERRY Sinn Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy, has welcomed the launch of Off The Streets new hi tech state of the art mobile hub.

She said: “This mobile hub will allow Off The Streets to reach more young people not just in the Galliagh/ Shantallow area but also across the City, bringing their particular unique brand of youth work to an area near you.

“The hub has already had its debut, with services being provided from it on Halloween night at Ebrington.

“The staff have many great things planned for it now over the coming weeks with youth work programmes planned in some of our new estates, areas such as Knockena and Clon Elagh, areas that at this stage have no static site or building that services can be provided from.

“Off The Streets are a service that is going from strength to strength and as a committee member I see first-hand the great work that they do with many young people .

“This mobile hub can only enhance this work, I wish them every success with it,” she added.
