Sinn Fein Foyle MLA Karen Mullan.

SINN Féin Education spokesperson Karen Mullan has welcomed the publication of ‘Integration Works’, the Department of Education’s guidance for schools on becoming formally integrated.

The DE document offers advice and encouragement to schools considering this option.

Karen Mullan said:

“The guidance provided to schools provides clarity regarding the steps a school community is required to take to become officially integrated. This is to be welcomed.

“Sinn Féin recognises the valuable role that integrated education plays within our diverse education system.

“Sinn Féin also recognise the importance of parental choice in education.”
