THREE MEN REPORTED TO PPS AFTER FIREARM FOUND IN CO DERRY QUARRY

THREE men arrested last week after a gun was found during searches in Co Derry have been released a pending a report to prosecutors.

The PSNI say the men were arrested in the Eglinton and Dungiven areas on Thursday night by detectives from the Terrorist Investigation Unit.

They were detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act by detectives investigating violent dissident republican activity.

A firearm was recovered during a search of a quarry area on Dernaflaw Road in Dungiven.

The three males have been released from the serious crime suite at Musgrave police station in Belfast ending a report to the PPS.
