SINN Fein’s Elisha McCallion has said a meeting with Invest NI CEO and Regional Director of Europe yesterday was ”thorough and productive”.

The Foyle MP said: “The meeting was an opportunity to receive and update from, and ask questions of, Invest NI’s work in the north of Ireland.

“Invest NI has an important effect on our local economy, but must redouble its efforts to encourage economic activity in deprived urban communities and isolated rural areas.

“While serious challenges will be caused by Brexit, Invest NI also has a role to play in protecting border communities from economic disruption,” she added.
