DERRY City & Strabane District Council are inviting dog owners to join in the spirit of Christmas this year by encouraging them to dress their pets up in their festive finest and bring them along to the first-ever ‘Pooches Parade’ in Strabane.

The Council has been inundated with registrations for this year’s ‘Dog Christmas Jumper’ competition and ‘Pooches Parade’ – which is part of the Strabane Christmas Fayre on 3rd December at 2 pm in Butcher Street carpark.

Has your doggy been naughty or nice this Christmas?  Bring them along in their adorable Christmas outfits for a chance to win a doggy hamper for your pampered pooch or treat your canine pal to some Christmas goodies.

Why not spoil your furry friend to this great festive bash? The event is a fabulous opportunity for you and your pooch to have some doggy Christmas fun!

Prizes for large breed, medium breed and small breed – with every entry taking home a bag of treats from local business Curley Canines.

So if you have a cute pup or if you think your dog is best in show you can enter it online at www.facebook.com/StrabaneChristmasFayre

For further information on the ‘Dog Christmas Jumper’ competition and ‘Pooches Parade’ please contact Strabane Business Improvement District Officer Catherine Collins on 02871 253253 extension 4265, or email [email protected]
