MAYOR of Derry and Strabane Council, Cllr Maolíosa McHugh, is encouraging families throughout the city and district to book their free tickets for the amazing ‘Lost in Frost’ show.

It is described as a thrilling winter-themed adventure production by the ‘Echo Echo’ team which delights and enchants younger audiences with a mix of dance, movement, music, visuals and storytelling.

The ‘Lost in Frost’ shows which are part of the Mayor’s Christmas initiative take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 9 &10 at the Alley Theatre in Strabane, and Saturday and Sunday 16 &17 at the Echo Echo Dance Theatre in Derry.

Almost all of the free tickets for the shows in Derry have already been booked – with only a few remaining for the 1pm show on Sunday 17 December – yet there are still hundreds of free tickets available for the shows at the Alley Theatre in Strabane.

Mayor McHugh said: “One of the highlights for me over the entire Christmas period will be my own mayoral initiative which is encouraging families across the city and district to enjoy two weekends of fantastic festive dance, storytelling and animation at the Echo Echo dance studios in Derry and the Alley Theatre in Strabane.

“As they are a part of my Christmas initiative, the tickets for the ‘Lost in Frost’ shows are free.  Indeed, the tickets for the shows in Derry have already been snapped up – with only a few remaining.

“However, there are still hundreds of free tickets available for the shows at the Alley Theatre – so please book early to avoid disappointment.

“‘Lost in Frost’ is a captivating and mysterious winter fairytale which surprises and delights audiences of all ages.

“Through movement, dance, storytelling and video projection the audience are taken on a journey of magic and adventure.

“Inspired by the works of Dr. Seuss and Tove Jansson, the ‘Lost in Frost’ show is approximately 40 minutes long – and is especially suited for children aged 4-11.

“I hope that a great many families throughout the city and district take this opportunity to join in the festive fun and see what is a truly amazing show!”

The ‘Lost in Frost’ shows in the Alley Theatre in Strabane are at 3pm & 6pm on Saturday 9 December and 3pm on Sunday 10 December.

Book your free tickets online at www.alley-theatre.com or by ringing the Alley Theatre Box Office on 028 71 384444.
