POLICE have made a second arrest as part of Op Exposure in Derry to catch those who burgled Christ Church in the city.

A PSNI Foyle spokesperson said: “Following the release of images yesterday of two people police would like to speak to in connection with a burglary at Christchurch in the city a second male who is 23 years old has been arrested.

“He is currently in custody assisting police with our enquiries.

“We would again like to thank All those who assisted.”

Earlier today, police in Derry said that a 22-year-old male had been arrested as part of the investigation.

He also remains in custody at Strand Road police station.

Christ Church on Infirmary Road was burgled and ransacked last month at the dead of night.

Extensive damage was caused during the break in, including a stain glass window and the church organ.
