Requiem Mass held today for Kayden McLaughlin-McGuinness who was found dead at his home in the Bogside

THE heartbreaking funeral has taken place of little Kayden McLaughlin-McGuinnes who was found dead at his home in Derry earlier this month.

The three-year-old boy was discovered dead in bed in his Columbcille Court home in the Bogside on Sunday, September 17 around 10 am.

Requiem Mass was held at St. Columba’s Church, Longtower in the city at 10 am.

Kayden was laid to rest afterwards in Derry City Cemetery.

Floral tributes were tied to a fence outside the McLaughlin family home.

The local community has been struggling with trying to come to terms with the terrible loss of the toddler.

A 23-year-old man was arrested last Saturday for questioning by detectives investigating the death.

He was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
