POLICE say Southway in Derry has now reopened following a security operation.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit were carrying out searches in the area earlier today when a suspicious item was found.
British Army Technical Officers were drafted in to examine it.
The PSNI say more details about the security operation will be released later this evening.
