REGISTRATION OPEN FOR 2017 SPERRINS AND KILLETER WALKING FESTIVAL

THE Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Maoliosa McHugh officially launch this year’s 2017 Sperrins and Killeter Walking Festival by taking a tour of the route with Far & Wild’s Lawrence McBride and Emma Devine,Marketing Officer at Derry City and Strabane District Council, proving that even a rainy day will not dampen the spirits.

Walkers of all ages and abilities will be heading for the hills and exploring the local hinterland when the popular walking festival returns on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2017.

Organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council in conjunction with local adventure company Far and Wild, there will be a total of six walks over the two days, ranging from easy family friendly strolls to moderate treks and challenging hill walks all led by professional walking guides.

Registration is open now at http://www.sperrinskilleterwalking.com/ where full details of each walk is available.
