TWO TO FACE DERRY COURT AFTER MAN STABBED IN THE HEAD

DETECTIVES have charged a man and woman in connection with a stabbing incident in Derry on Friday night.

A 47-year-old man was stabbed in the head in the Dungiven Road area.

Police said the 32-year-old woman has been charged with a number of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, assault on police and disorderly behaviour.

The 32-year-old male has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

They are due in court tomorrow morning, Monday, June 5

A 31-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with this incident was subsequently released on police bail, detectives added.
