A Co Derry punter is rolling in the money after scooping a huge prize in the Republic’s National Lottery.

The company has revealed the unnamed winner has travelled to Dublin to pick up a cheque for an incredible €250,000 after he won the Lotto Plus 2 top prize on Wednesday, May 3.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased in Kirkland’s Wee Shop in Moville, Co. Donegal.

EuroMillions & Lotto players travelled to National Lottery offices in Dublin in their droves today as five separate winners collected almost €900,000 in prize money.

The biggest winners of the day were a Co. Carlow family syndicate who finally claimed their EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 which they won on St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 17th.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at O’Reilly Stores in Moffat Street in Hacketstown in Co. Carlow on the day of the draw.
