Missing Creggan lad Dean Millar

A BODY has been recovered tonight (Tuesday) from the River Foyle.

There is a hope that it is that of missing Creggan teenager Dean Millar.

The 18 year old Dean left his friends in the Brandywell area on March 12 “stating he was heading home’.

But Dean never made it home, sparking a major search which led police to the River Foyle.

The PSNI said tonight that the body was found on the banks of the river.

A post mortem will be carried out to determine the identity and the cause of death.

Help Get Dean Home campaign group said on its Facebook page: “We can confirm that a body has been recovered from the Foyle tonight.

“We are 80 per cent sure it is Dean but it has to be officially confirmed.

“Please be patient with us and we will keep you updated.”

“Thanks once again for all your help.
