BREAKING NEWS…..BODY RECOVERED FROM RIVER FOYLE AS FAMILY PRAY IT IS MISSING JACK GLENN

POLICE in Derry can confirm that a body was recovered from the River Foyle this afternoon, Monday, March 27.

A post mortem examination and identification procedures will be carried out in due course.

There are no further details at present.

Two Derry lads have been missing in the river this past number of weeks – Jack Glenn and Dean Millar.

Extensive searches have been carried out on land at sea for both missing lads went into the water several weeks apart.

In message on Facebook this evening, Jack’s dad Colin Glenn said: “Everyone will be aware of the reports that earlier today a body was recovered from the River Foyle by Boyne fishermen.

“At this stage the authorities are going through their procedures of formal identification.

“Our families hope and pray that this will be Jack and that we can finally get him home.

“We thank you all for your continued help, support, thoughts and prayers.
