EAST Derry is now into is fifth stage of counting with still no one elected.
Sinn Fein’s Caoimhe Archibald topped the poll.
Close behind her is Maurice Bradley of the DUP on 5,832 votes.
The magic quota figure is 6,979.
The TUV’s Jordan Armstrong has been eliminated at the fourth stage of voting.
Former Justice Minister Claire Sugden and and Maurice Bradley picked most of the transfers from the PUP’s Russell Watson.
But it hasn’t been a good election so far for the ‘comeback kid’ and SDLP stalwart John Dallat.
He was expected to poll well but that has not happened.
SDLP leader Colum Eastwood has defended his decision to bring back Mr Dallat.
“We stood by the party rules and tried to get the best candidate on the ticket.
“I think we did get the best candidate on the ticket and he’s someone who has contributed massively to the peace process and the assembly over the years,” he added.
