Centra’s Kate Ferguson joins Carl Frampton’s award-winning coach, Shane McGuigan, to launch a bespoke 10-week ‘Restart’ programme spanning fitness, nutrition and mindfulness with convenience retailer Centra’s year-long Live Well initiative,

LEADING convenience retailer Centra has teamed up with Carl Frampton’s award-winning and highly respected coach, Shane McGuigan and a panel of top experts to launch a bespoke series of 10-week ‘Restart’ programmes.

Spanning fitness, nutrition and mindfulness, the innovative series aims to get 20,000 people across the North of Ireland to press the restart button on their health and fitness regimes.

Part of Centra’s year-long Live Well initiative, the new programme was created with the help of top boxing coach Shane McGuigan, nutritionist, Jane McClenaghan, mindfulness expert, Bridgeen Rea and Olympian and Commonwealth Games competitor, Johnny Davis.

Throughout the course of the 10 weeks, consumers will be provided with the tools and tips they need to get healthier via exclusive videos, podcasts and training plans.

Renowned coach, Shane McGuigan hopes the campaign will get the North of Ireland fighting fit.

“My 10-week challenge aims to encourage communities across Northern Ireland to make gradual changes to get active.

“Very often people need a little push to help get them back on track and the training programme I’ve developed is designed to do just that.

“It will include a range of easy to follow tutorials and top tips that are at the heart of all my training programmes for world-class boxers.”

Musgrave NI Head of Marketing, Desi Derby, said the campaign was designed to transform the way customers think about nutrition, fitness and wellbeing.

“The Restart programme will inspire customers to make healthy choices every day.  Over the course of 10 weeks consumers will be provided with expert advice to regain control of their health and fitness.  For all those New Year resolutions made and broken, Restart offers all of us an opportunity to start again.

This is an integral part of the Live Well initiative, which represents an investment of £1 million and is aimed at helping our customers make healthier choices, addressing the serious health issues associated with today’s society.”

Centra will also roll out an in-store Restart ‘Spin the Wheel’ promotion, visiting every county in Northern Ireland throughout 2017, to encourage customers to sign up to the plan.

Visit www.centra.co.uk to sign up to the Restart 10 Week Challenge and share your progress using #livewellni to be in with a chance to win a Fitbit.
