A security alert in the Ardmore area of Derry has now ended after an ammo find

A PSNI spokesperson said the Lisdillon Road outside Derry “has now fully reopened following the discovery of a quantity of ammunition in the area last night, Saturday 25 February”. T

The PSNI spokesperson said: “Police were called to the area shortly after 5.30 pm yesterday evening after a suspicious object was discovered in the area.”

British Army Technical Officers were tasked to the scene.

“Police attended and, following examination, a quantity of ammunition has now been removed for further examination.”
