DERRY FOOTBALLER EOIN BRADLEY RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AND FIT TO PLAY AGAIN

Derry GAA player Eoin Bradley also plays for Coleraine FC in the Irish League

DERRY gaelic footballer and soccer striker Eoin Bradley has revealed on Twitter that he is out of hospital and has been given the all clear to return to playing as well.

The 33-year old, who also plays Gaelic football for club Glenullin and Derry, punctured a lung and damaged his ribs after colliding with a post in last month’s win with Coleraine FC over Portadown.

The game had to be stopped for 18 minutes while Bradley was worked on by medics before he was taken to the nearby Causeway Hospital.

But the former Glenavon man tweeted this afternoon that he had been released from hospital and that he was eager to get back out on the pitch again after a month out.

This week’s match away to Cliftonville may come a week too early for the forward, so he could be eyeing Coleraine’s Irish Cup quarter-final away to Ballymena on March 4 as a potential return date.
