THERE will be a public meeting of the Strabane St Patrick’s Day parade committee this week on Thursday, February 2 at 7.00 pm in the offices of Strabane Ethnic Community Association at Abercorn Square. The meeting will last no longer than one hour.
A warm welcome is extended to all groups and individuals to attend and to play an active role in the event. Community groups, sports clubs, schools, cultural organisations, businesses and all others are encouraged to get involved and make Strabane the place to be on St Patrick’s Day (Friday 17th March 2017).
The committee are delighted that Derry City & Strabane District Council are firmly involved with the parade this year both in a funding and a supportive role.
An officer from council will attend the meeting and hopefully all the upcoming meetings.
The committee say they are looking forward to seeing you all in attendance at the meeting to discuss plans for what will be the 12th annual parade in Strabane.
If you can’t attend the meeting but would like to get involved in any aspect of the event, then please feel free to get in touch with any of the committee.
“Together we can ensure that it will be another outstanding success,” said the committee.
