POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a disgusting theft which took place in a Co Derry car park this week.
The incident happened at Kilrea Health Centre on Tuesday, December 6, at around 5 pm.
Sgt Burns from Limavady PSNI said: “A male described as mid 30’s opened the door of a parked car and stole the handbag of an elderly female who was sitting in the car.
“If you noticed anybody hanging about the car park or observed the male speaking the elderly female please contact Police on 101 quoting reference number 1074 6.12.16.
“I would like to take this opportunity to remind members of the public to be aware of opportunistic criminals.
“Please keep doors locked, windows up and valuables out of sight.”
