Damian Barton’s men will face Armagh in the first round of the 2017 Dr McKenna Cup

DOIRE have been handed a home tie in the first round of the 2017 Dr McKenna Cup.

Damian Barton’s side take on Armagh at Owenbeg on Sunday, January 8.

The following Sunday they travel to Pairc Esler to take on Down.

And in round three Doire play Queen’s University Belfast at Owenbeg on Sunday, January 22.

Tyrone will start their bid for a sixth straight McKenna Cup success against Cavan at Breffni Park on January 8.

The Red Hands beat Cavan in this year’s Division Two finaland an Ulster SFC semi-final replay.

The other Section C encounter sees Donegal host Ulster University.

Corrigan Park will stage Antrim’s opener against St Mary’s with Monaghan v Fermanagh also in Section B.
