Sinn Fein Cllr Mickey Cooper.

COUNCILLOR Mickey Cooper has welcome the result of the Lowrys Lane environmental cleanup project.

He said: “I have to say well done to everyone involved in this project.

“Teamworks did a great job  cutting back high trees in a piece of land which was not owned by statutory agencies or by residents.

“The removal of the trees will allow natural sunlight to again reach the affected residents homes instead of being in partial darkness

“I would like to thank  pupils from St Bridget’s College, C.R.J and Teamworks for their  clean up of  Lowrys Lane area.

“They  cleaned up  the verges on both sides of the lane which have been overgrown since the  summer and causing issues for dog walkers.

“All the debris will be removed when the works are completed next week,” added Cllr Cooper.
