51-year-old man taken to the serious crime custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station for questioning

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit based at Maydown have arrested a man in Derry this morning.

Police say the 51-year-old was arrested in the Crescent Link area as part a TIU investigation into “violent dissident repubican” activity in the city.

He was detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000

The man has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave station in Belfast for questioning.

He can be held for up to 48 hours before he is either released or charged.
