SINN Féin Councillor Eric McGinley has called on the Housing Executive to bring forward programmes for exterior house painting in Hazelbank as quickly as possible.

Cllr. McGinley said: “I have received a number of complaints in recent weeks from Hazelbank residents over the exterior condition of their Housing Executive properties.

“These houses are shabby in appearance as a result of long exposure to the elements and residents are entitled to expect that the properties are kept adequately maintained by the Housing Executive.

“I have written to the HE requesting information on previous and planned programmes and I have asked that priority is given to ECM schemes being brought to the estates in Hazelbank as quickly as possible.”
