DUFFY ENCOURAGES TAKE UP OF COMMUNITY HALLS GRANT SCHEME

Sinn Fein councillor Sandra Duffy.

SINN Féin Shantallow Councillor Sandra Duffy has called on Management Boards of Community organisation to investigate their eligibility under the Community Halls Pilot Grant Scheme.

Cllr. Duffy explained: “With awards of up to £25,000 this Grant Scheme is available through the Department of Communities and is designed to assist in minor repairs or replacement of faulty equipment such as boilers, toilets, kitchens and car park facilities at Community halls.

“I would therefore encourage any Community, Sport or Church group that maintains a hall for use by the community to investigate their eligibility under this scheme.

“With awards of up to £25,000 this Grant Scheme is available through the Department of Communities and is designed to assist in minor repairs or replacement of faulty equipment such as boilers, toilets, kitchens and car park facilities at Community halls.

“The application period ends at 12.00pm on November 23rd therefore if you believe that your organisation could benefit then I urge you to submit an application as a matter of urgency.

“Application details and full eligibility criteria can be accessed.”
