Sean O;Halloran found not guilty at Derry Crown Court of raping a woman in her home

BBC Radio Foyle journalist Sean O’Halloran accused of rape and sexual assault has been found unanimously not guilty of all charges.

The 12-panel delivered its verdict this afternoon on the fourth day of the trial.he unanimous verdict on day four of Sean O’Halloran’s trial.

Mr O’Halloran, 30, of Northland Road in the city, denied raping a woman after a party at her home in May 2014, while her boyfriend slept downstairs.

The journalist also denied two further  charges of sexual assault on the same date.

He had always denied the charges, saying sexual contact between him and the woman was consensual.
