train-tracks-warningPOLICE are warning of the dangers of youths on railway tracks in Co Derry.

A police spokesperson said: “We have received reports of youths throwing stones from the rail way tracks at Dhu Varren train stop.

“Several cars have been damaged as a result.

“Not only is this a criminal offence but anyone on the train line is putting themselves in tremendous danger.

“A train can’t swerve to avoid you and anyone on the tracks is putting themselves and the lives of other rail users at severe risk without thinking of the consequences of their actions.”
