THE Police in Derry have held their hands up and admitted they own a ‘drone’ spotted flying over the city today.

The white unmanned aerial vehicle – also called an aerial platform – was spotted in part of the city today.

In a message on its Facebook page, PSNI Foyle say: 2This afternoon, you may notice a slight change in the norm, as a small white drone flys overhead…

“Fear not – aliens have not come to take over our great city!

“It’s actually just Neighbourhood Officers being filmed patrolling all over the district today…

“Keep a look out and if you spot us, feel free to give us a wave!”
