POLICE PROBE WEEKEND ASSAULT AND ROBBERY IN DERRY

strand-road-polie-station-derry-google-1-1-400x240-20131121-132010-438-1DETECTIVES in Derry are investigating the report of a robbery at Rossville Street on Sunday morning.

A man reported that he had been attacked by two males at around 5 am on July 24 and had a sum of money stolen.

The man did not sustain serious injuries as a result of the incident.

One of the attackers was described as being aged in his early 30’s, around 5’7” tall, slim build and was wearing light coloured clothes.

The second male was described as being around 5’4” tall, aged in his early 20’s, medium build and was wearing blue coloured clothing.

Detective Sergeant Brian Reid has appealed for anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference 409 24/07/16.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
