OBJECTS REMOVED FOLLOWING SECURITY ALERT IN STRABANE

PSNI crestTHE security alert at Spout Road in Strabane has ended.

Police say a number of suspicious objects were discovered by detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit based at Maydown in Derry.

They were found a TIU search of open land.

The items have been taken away for further examination.

There are no further details at present.
