VOTING is underway in Derry in the EU Referendum.
It is a simple task for voters, a straight choice between ‘Yes’ to stay in the EU or ‘No’ to leave.
And all you have to do is mark ‘X’ against your choice.
Commentators are saying the overall vote across the North, Wales, Scotland and England could be too close to call between the ‘Remain’ and ‘Brexit’ camps.
The final result will be known some time on Friday.
Meanwhile, to facilitate the EU Referendum, the Foyle Arena at St Columb’s Park, will close for a period this week.
It will be closed today and until 09.00 hrs tomorrow, Friday 24 June.
The public are being encouraged to use the Council’s other leisure facilities across the Council area.
They include Templemore Sports Centre, Brooke Park Leisure Centre and City Baths, Derry; Melvin Leisure Centre and Riversdale Leisure Centre, Strabane and Derg Valley, Castlederg, during this period.
Further details on the election is available on the Electoral Office website at www.eoni.org.uk.
Foyle Arena users are also advised that both its pools will be closed on Tuesday 28 June from 09.30 – 15.30 hrs for routine maintenance.
The steam room and sauna will remain open as normal.
