James McClean starts tonight against Italy

MARTIN O’Neill has made four changes to his team’s massive fixture against Italy tonight (kick off 8 pm)

Derrys Shane Duffy and James McClean start this evening in the do-or-die clash against the Italians.

O’Neill has given the captaincy role to Donegal’s Seamus Coleman as John O’Shea has been dropped for tonight’s game.

O’Neill has reverted back to 4-4-2 formation as Hoolahan is one of four changes since the Belgium game on Saturday.

Ireland need maximum points to progress into the last 16 of the Euro 2016 championships.

Here is tonight’s starting XI:

Randolph, Coleman, Keogh, Duffy, Ward; McClean, McCarthy, Hendrick, Brady; Long, Murphy
