o'donnell parkTHE DONEGAL Motor Club has welcomed a decision of St Eunan’s GAA club to open up O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny for campers attending next month’s Donegal International Rally.

With a record crowd expected over three days from Friday June 17 until Sunday June 19, many fans were struggling to find accommodation.

Now O’Donnell Park will be available for fans over that weekend.

In the past St Eunan’s grounds was the main camp site for the All Ireland Fleadh and when the idea was mentioned by Brian Brogan chairman of the Motor Club, St Eunan’s were happy to help out.

Niall Doherty the Treassurer of St Eunan’s said the club have all the facilities on site.

“We have toilets, showers, plenty of space for tents and camper vans all in a safe and secure venue right in the heart of Letterkennny,” said Niall.

“The site will be supervised 24/7 over the three days to ensure safety.

“We are hoping that all the rally fans out there who are looking for accommodation can now avail of this cheaper option.”

Rally fans from Derry who want to book a pitch at the park should call Michael Mulhern on 00 353 879499614 , Andrew Mc Glynn on 00 353 861660357 or John Haran 00 353 862133522.
