Feeny bomb 2A SUSPICIOUS object which sparked a security alert in Co Derry yesterday afternoon was “nothing untoward,” say the PSNI.

During the alert in Dungiven, the Feeny Road was closed at its junction with Rallagh Road.

And the Glenedra Road was sealed off at its junction with Altinure Road.

Police tasked British Army Technical Officers to the scene to examine the suspicious object.

After several hours of examining, ATO declared it as “nothing untoward”.

Roads in the area were re-opened late last night.
