A ‘NEW IRA’ terrorist from Strabane has been shot dead in Dublin last night
Mickey Barr, who is in his 30s, was gunned in the north inner city around 9.30 pm.
He was drinking in the Sunset House when a lone gunman shot him a number of times at close range.
Barr was a close associate of another republican – nicknamed the ‘Flat Cap Hitman’ – who was spotted running away from the Regency Hotel following a gangland hit in February
His death appears to be the latest murder in the ongoing feud between the rival Hutch and Kinahan gangs in Dublin and abroad.
The second man was shot dead about two and a half hours later in the south west suburb of Clondalkin in a separate gang-related attack.
A burnt-out car, believed to have been used in the Barr’s shooting, was found nearby in the Drumcondra area.
The Hutch and Kinahan gang feuds has so far claimed the life of five men.
In that feud in February, a man was killed in a hotel that was hosting a weigh-in for a World Boxing Organisation fight in the city.#
Days later, another man was murdered in what police believe was a reprisal for the Regency Hotel attack.
