SSE AIRTRICITY PREMIER LEAGUE: WE NEED TO BEAT BOHS, SAY DERRY CITY BOSS SHIELS

Derry City manager Kenny Shiels hopes his team can get a win over Bohemians

DERRY City will be hoping to get over their hoodoo and bag a win against Bohemians this evening at the Brandywell (kick of 7.45 pm).

Kenny Shiels’ side are currently unbeaten in their last eight games.

But he is expecting a tough encounter this evening.

City have only had two victories from their last seven games against the Dubliners and they lost all three encounters last season.

“We know it’s going to be a hard game and our record against Bohemians is really, really poor,” stated Shiels.

“I think we have only beat them twice in the last seven games, so we have to put that right, we have to start beating the likes of Bohemians when they come here.

“We can’t have anyone coming to our patch and taking points back down the road and that should be our mindset.”

The Brandywell men have major injury worries over centre-back Aaron Barry and Dean Jarvis, but Gareth McGlynn and Harry Monaghan are definitely missing out.

This evening’s game will be live on both Drive 105.3 FM and BBC Radio Foyle (93.1FM) from 7.30 pm.
