SINN Féin Foyle MLA Maeve McLaughlin has slammed those responsible for a vandalism attack on St Johns Primary School Creggan.

The new Year 1 outside classroom was vandalised at the weekend by a group of young people.

She said: “Schools are centres of our communities and provide not just education for our children but also services for families, after schools projects, and outreach to the wider community.

“To target the new year 1 outside classroom at St Johns Primary  is therefore an attack on the entire community and is completely unacceptable

“I would appeal for anyone with even the slightest information on this vandalism attack to bring it forward straight away.”
