FINAL DAY FOR B&Q AS IT SHUTS ITS DOORS IN DERRY WITH 60 JOB AXED

SIXTY people join the dole queue after this evening when B&Q closes doors for the final time of its Derry store.

The closure is part of a downsizing by B & Q owners Kingfisher after the bottom fell out of the DIY market.

The store is running an “80 per cent off” today offer but many will be disappointed as some shelves are practically empty.

The store shuts today at 5 pm.
