VOLUNTEERS sprung into action this morning to rescue a man from the River Foyle.
The man was plucked the cold waters by Foyle Search and Rescue volunteers at around 9.00 am.
He was whisked by ambulance to the accident and emergency department at Altnagelvin Hospital to be treated by medical staff for the effects of hypothermia.
His condition is not yet known.
