BISHOP-STREET-MARKET-450x248SINN Féin councillor for Foyleside Mickey Cooper has welcomed confirmation that a number of performers from the Outer West area will be performing at the Peacewalls Christmas market which will be held at Bishops Gate over the weekend of 18-20th December.

He said the market would give performers from the OW area a chance to showcase their talents:

Councillor Cooper said:

“I am delighted that a number of performers and groups from the Outer West will be showcasing their talents at the Peacewalls Christmas market as a result of discussions between myself, the Peacewalls project and the Outer West manager.

“On the 20th December there will be demonstrations by the Ballymagroarty Women’s Craft group, and performances by musicians Serena Doherty and Cathal McConnell (who will be performing between 2.30-3.30pm).

“I urge as many locals as possible to visit the market and to enjoy the talents of our Outer West residents.”
