dogattackPOLICE and council officials are investigating after a man was bitten when two stray dogs attacked his pet in Limavady on Sunday evening.

The man was walking his dog at Enagh Park when two pit-bull type dogs attacked it.

The man was treated after sustaining two puncture wounds to his left hand when he lifted his terrier to protect it from the other dogs.

The other dogs did not have any collars.

Anyone with information about the dogs can be given to police in Limavady on the 101 number or to the dog warden at Causeway Coast & Glens District council.
