SINN Féin MLA Raymond McCartney has said the British government should fund legacy investigations and inquests.
Around 160 cases were due to be handed over from the Police Ombudsman to a new police unit dealing with the past.
But the British Government refused to open up all its files on the past on the grounds of ‘National Security’.
