DETECTIVES are hunting a man armed with a screwdriver who robbed a shop near Derry last night.
Police said that the man entered the shop on Deramore Drive in Strathfoyle around 6.30 pm.
He threatened a woman behind the counter with the weapon and made her open the till.
The robber then fled on foot with a sum of money.
The shop assistant was left shocked by her ordeal but fortunately sustained no injuries.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the robber to contact them on the 101 number.
