SINN Féin Foyle MLA and Derry City FC supporter Raymond McCartney has congratulated Kenny Shiels on his appointment as the new manager of Derry City Football Club.
He said: ““I would like to congratulate Kenny on being appointed as manager of Derry City FC and wish him every success as he takes over the reins and prepares for next season.”
Shiels takes over from Paul Hegarty who was managing the club on a temporary basis but for personal reasons didn’t want to take on the job in a full time capacity.
